Sunken forest

Sunken Forest Part 1: Chapters 2-3

WALT: Make inferences using prior knowledge and text examples.

WALT: Summarise what we read in our own words

Your task: Answer the questions below using the short answer response format. Reread the extracts of text, where provided, to help you and highlight the information from the text that supports your thinking.

“You got your bag at school?”

“Yea, hanging in the porch outside my room.”

“You shouldn't leave it there.” said Cam. “People steal stuff!”

 “Nothing in it worth stealing.”

‘Someday there  will be.” said Jay. “You should carry it with you like we do.”

  1. Why did Cam and Jay suggest that Matt carry his bag with him? Do you think they were genuinely worried about him getting something stolen from his bag? Why/Why not?    So then it doesn't get stolen and if it was to get stolen there was more than one person and maybe that he had something important.

  1. Why did Cam and Jay give Matt a share of the stolen cards? Do you think Matt wanted to take them?  yes

  1. Why were warning sirens going off in Matt’s head when Cam asked what he had seen in the old lady’s house?    Maybe cam asked matt why he was in there be cause cam has never seen him in that house before and shes an old lady

  1. From their description so far, do you think Cam and Jay are a good choice of friends for Matthew? Why/Why not?     Maybe because they are always worried about matthew
