“I'm going to catch me one of those,” said Cam, “Kill the slimy thing.”

  1. Why did Cam want to catch a giant eel? Do you think this is a good enough reason?  Cam unfolded the blade of the knife getting ready to kill the eel. Cam wanted to catch a big  to prove how tough he was.

  1. Why did Matt glance around before telling Azura about the eel?he matt didn’t want to tell anyone about it.

  1. Why do you think the eel came out of the water?  Are you surprised Matt wasn’t frightened of it? I think the eel wanted matt to leave. And no i am not surprised

  1. The chapter was called Monstrous Eel?  Do you think the author was referring to the eel’s size or nature?  Do you think it is a fair description?

  2. I think the author was referring to the eels size and I am not sure if its a fair description.

Elsa was perfect. He wouldn't even alter it to Eelsa, and he liked the similarities between his Elsa and the one in the Born Free book. Lions were animals that scare people and yet in the story Elsa was shown as loving and mostly gentle. Eels are much the same: scary in form,  with a bad reputation. Humans wanted to kill them just because they were carnivores or, like Cameron, to show how strong and tough they were. The Adamson family who raised Elsa the lioness had to protect her from poachers and big game Hunters. Matt knew that he would need to do similar things for his Elsa.

Why did Matt settle on the name Elsa for the eel?  What would you have called the eel and why? He called the eels elsa because of the personality.

Ancient carriage found in pompiee

Today we have read an article about Pompeii. They found this carriage in the photo.  The archaeologists were taking off the volcano ash  from all of the artefacts and it took them over 300 years to pull it all off.

The big question was should artefacts be relocated or remain where they are found?

i think that it would be safer in the museum because if there was another volcano it would get burnt and if it didn't get moved it would get covered again
